Description

This is the first light of the ASI 2600 MM Pro I received recently.

Natural fit for the Takahashi 85 EDX4 from the sampling perspective and given the local suburban sky quality here.

Had a decent night, with relatively low number of subs.

Each sub captured is worth almost 50 Mb in size... storage capacity and processing power is going to be the next challenge!

Version A: The pre-processing was performed in AstroPixel Processor, mixing and denoising in Startools, final color adjustment in Photoshop. Dark and soft processing.

Version B: post-processing reworked in PixInsight . My mates didn't like the colors, had to do something.

The core of M31 could probably be better detailed, there's so much dynamic range in the image; I'm just too scared to ruin the image altogether...!

Hope you like it as it is.

Comments/feedback welcome.

Details in M101 are just incredible. Also amazing are those tiny galaxies visible in the sky background.
